This house is situated in a small,quiet, friendly, typical spanish village (pop. approx. 800 people) high in the Andulucian mountains were the air is almost crystal clear.The property has kithchen,diner lounge,bathroom and 3 bedrooms on ground floor and up a wide white marble staircase to a further lounge/ bedroom 4 which leads to a nice size terrace .The views are amazing and within a few minutes drive you have 4 huge lakes where you could fish or just relax in one of the lakeside bars and take in the views. The backdrop mountains you view from the house is the Calgoza Natural Park were cycling,walking and painting are a common pastime with the flora and fauna in the spring also the wildlife to spot including the giant griffin eagles to name a view. The village has all your basic amenities including 2 small supermarkets,primary school (3 and a half years old to 11 years old),and secondary school (10 minute drive away on free school bus) bank,bars,disco,hotel,post office,doctors and phamacy. Although the house is set in the mountains (3.000ft above sea level) is does not cling to the side of the mountain but is a steady climb up to and the whole village is reasonably flat and you tend to be on a plateau looking down on the villages in the distance. It is a one hour 40 minute drive from Granada airport or two hour 40 minute drive from Alicante or Malaga airport.The Sierra Nevada mountain range at Granada is renown for its ski resort in the winter months and the stunning Alhambra Palace is a major tourist attraction all year round. The coast of Almeria with fantastic beaches is approx two hour 30 minutes away (approx) or if you didnt want to drive to the beach there are several mega size swimming pools, the nearest being 10 minute drive away, but several mega pools in each direction from the village,the choice is yours. So if you want peace and tranquility and fantastic views,stunning scenery with all amenities on hand this could be the place for you. |
